MOONDAY (GIRLY DJ CONTEST) IN ASSOCIATION WITH JBL AND ROXY PRESENT :

A PAN-EUROPEAN CONTEST IN PARIS, LONDON, BERLIN & BRUSSELS
Next Girl DJ is a new Pan-European contest that aims to discover the hottest girl DJ around and propel her into dance music superstardom.
Audio giants JBL and sportswear aficionados ROXY are two credible brands synonymous with music and female culture, and are the brains behind this aspirational contest.
Next Girl DJ is not about slinging male talent to one side, but is about providing a space where girls can showcase their skills. More females are needed to exhibit their talent in what is, still, a male dominated environment.
Next Girl DJ is aiming to provide one girl a life-changing opportunity, whilst changing the face of dance music history in the process - in the recent DJ Top 100, not one woman was represented. Thanks to JBL, ROXY and You, all this is about to change.
So are you passionate, ambitious and know how to throw down some tunes? Then what are you waiting for?
From thousands of competitors in the Next Girl DJ contest only 16 will remain for the live finals, which will be running in Paris, London, Berlin and Brussels, throughout May. Watch the Next Girl DJ page for announcements.

Bella Boo
Always in love with music, I strive for a good vibe with the audience and whatever the style be I always look for a soulful groove with that bassline! I started off playing mostly tech house and minimal techno and have lately started to make more bass influenced sets which can involve 2step,dubstep, rnb, skwee, crunk, 4by4, juke and much more..
I have been playing for 2 years in places like:
Berns, Grodan and f12 in Stockholm at the Flow Festival in Helsinki and in Amsterdam this June I have two bookings after the Brussels show! music oh music. |

Cixi
Cixi is best known for playing anything electronic and organic, whether it’s house, techno, minimal, electro, jazz it doesn’t matter, it’s all about the true vibes.
iversity is (in) the heart of Cixi's sound. She has acquired a unique, cultured appreciation and understanding of dance music and continues to make her impact on the underground scene. While not working hard on the road, she is working diligently at home, continuing her quest to find expression through innovative new sounds.
Also, after a short break, her and VCT's fresh, live jazzjamproject Kwartêt will soon perform again. |
Miss Inshara
Since 4 years now, Miss Inshara makes us vibrate in the sound of the electro music. Her winning at the Girly Dj Contest at the Fuse gives her self-confidence and her efforts will be rewarded on several occasions. Indeed, since, she does not stop and is called everywhere: Luxembourg, Antwerp, Brussels, Tournai, Strasbourg, Francorchamps, Namur clubs and evenings fill her weekends. Now she and Norton White released their own production: "Say Oui" went out in June, 2008 with the cooperation of Xavier Qanta. Other pieces are on the way and very very promising !

In 1997 she discovered her love for house & techno Music.
From that moment on, she started to spin her first techno records and evolved through the years and developing her own style of mixing.
In 2002 she decided to follow SAE courses to understand the whole background of recording and editing music.
Over the last years she has been playing uplifting minimal tech house sets at small parties, where she received positive reactions.
Now she has realized; She has to take it to the next level… |
