Here in Brussels, if you take a walk in the wood, among the hundred-years-old trees of the Bois de la Cambre, you will have the chance to find a surprising and charming place that is called... the Wood. There and nowhere else, is the place to start a musical journey of about 2 642 kilometers!
Every Friday from the 5th of March, A Walk In The Wood will be taking you for a trip to four of the most prolific scenes of Europe: Berlin, Brussels, London and Paris. Four parties led by a selection of renown labels, performers, and promising DJ collectives: Toys for Boys (Berlin), Moonday (Brussels), Billie Ray Martin (London), Eva Peel Prod (Paris), to put right into your ears some of the best sound of Europe... without you even move from your home city.
So, save the ticket money and discover now, here in the Wood, the most talented artists of our old continent... All you have to do is dance!

Fady One (Zukunft)
On a musical note, Fady One doesn’t want to define her style. She compares discovering a new piece of music to meeting a person: with some people you feel an immediate connection. Having always liked to organise events she felt that her own club night would not only be a fun thing to do but also give her the opportunity to play the music she likes for a bigger audience. Her Zukunft parties quickly developed into one of the most popular club nights in Brussels.
In Brussels Fady One mixes at events such as Piknikelektronik, No Code, Wunderbar, Statik Dancing, Brussels4Paris, Vert Pop, Summer Club, Apéros Urbains and Tilt. . |

Sand (moonday / next girl DJ contest / piknik elektronik)
Since she started mixing in the late nineties, Sand's musical options are determinedly eclectic: her very particular selection breaks the lines between musical styles,and gets together the audiences and the trends. Curious and restless, constantly exploring the music scenes in search for new talents and inspirations, Sand spreads her skills in many projects, as a DJ, or producer, or art director. Now she's working on various creative projects, and started producing her own composition. |

Miss Inshara (soho)
Since 4 years now, Miss Inshara makes us vibrate in the sound of the electro music. Her winning at the Girly Dj Contest at the Fuse gives her self-confidence and her efforts will be rewarded on several occasions. Indeed, since, she does not stop and is called everywhere: Luxembourg, Antwerp, Brussels, Tournai, Strasbourg, Francorchamps, Namur clubs and evenings fill her weekends. Now she and Norton White released their own production: "Say Oui" went out in June, 2008 with the cooperation of Xavier Qanta. Other pieces are on the way and very very promising ! |

Thuy Nahn
She writes, composes and sings her songs. New projects are in progress. During her concerts, she can be shy or nervous, producing genuine moments of pop with sparkling details. With Soda Pop Kid, she monthly organises THEY GO PUBLIC! parties at Les Disquaires (Paris 11th), displaying her dj sets and starring live pop folk bands.
Eva Peel
Keen as much on electro than rock, Eva Peel is at the same time a singer and a DJ. Her favourite musical styles are: Italo-disco, rock anthems and electro novelties. She plays in a duo with Thuy-Nahn (under the name China Girls) and other artists like the Penelopes.
Eva Peel produces music with her famous companion Mike Thies under the name Sun Sun. The duo released a maxi on Pro-Zak in 2009 and prepare a new release on the label Yuk-Fu recordings. Eva Peel plays also with another duo: Thérémynt who just signed on swiss label Neopren records.

Jelly Bellies
Chantal and Florence have been friends for over more than ten years now. When they first met, Chantal was working at Extreme & at the Villa - one of the most legendary clubs in Belgium at the time - Florence was working for Out Soon - Belgium's leading dance music magazine back in the day. 2008 was a breakthrough year for the Jelly Bellies, playing various festivals and parties in Liège, Ghent, Antwerp and Brussels, and of course: the City Parade (i love techno truck). Chantal and Florence aren’t only fun to watch, they also know how to play. People that saw them spin records in various legendary belgian clubs such as Fuse & Cafe d'Anvers can (and will) confirm. The most interesting thing about the jelly bellies? Without doubt the complicity between the two: the way they challenge each other while playing in order to keep things interesting for both the audience and the Jelly Bellies theirselves. The jelly bellies make crowds go wild with their looks and their unique mix of techno, minimal, electro and house.
